Why mould keeps coming back
In Irish homes, most wall mould comes from condensation: warm, moist air meeting a cold wall. Painting over it with normal emulsion only hides it for a few weeks. It needs killing, sealing and the right paint, and ideally better airflow.
What we do
We treat the area with a fungicidal wash, let it dry, seal it and repaint with a mould-resistant finish. We also point out what is likely causing it, such as a blocked vent, drying clothes indoors or furniture against a cold outside wall.
When it's not condensation
Rising damp, leaks or gutter problems need fixing at the source first. If we see signs of that, we tell you before taking any money, so you don't pay for paint that won't last.
How it works
- Send photos of the area on WhatsApp, or book a free survey.
- Get a fixed price within the hour, including materials and clean-up.
- Pick a date. We confirm colours, times and access in advance.
- We prepare, paint and clean up. You check everything before we leave.
Questions about damp & mould
Is black mould dangerous?
Mould can affect people with asthma or allergies. It's best treated quickly and not scrubbed dry, which spreads spores.
Will the mould come back?
Treatment and anti-mould paint slow it right down. Keeping the room ventilated stops it for good.
