Why cracks come back
Hairline cracks around windows, doors and ceiling joints often move with the house. If they are just covered with paint, they reappear within weeks. We open them up, use flexible filler or scrim tape on moving joints, and sand everything flush before priming.
Filling, skimming or replastering?
Small cracks and holes need filling. Walls with lots of patch repairs, old wallpaper damage or bumpy surfaces benefit from a skim of the problem areas. A full replaster is only needed when plaster is loose or badly damaged. We tell you honestly which one your wall needs, and we don't sell you more than that.
Part of every paint job
Filling is included in all our interior painting quotes. You only see it as a separate price when walls need more than normal prep, and you know that price before we start.

Questions about filling & plastering
Can you fix cracks in a new-build house?
Yes. Settlement cracks in new builds are very common in the first years. We use flexible fillers so they stay closed.
Will I see the repairs after painting?
No. Repairs are sanded flush and primed, so they disappear under the finish coats.
Do you do full plastering?
We do filling and skimming of damaged areas. For full replastering of rooms we can recommend a local plasterer and paint after.
